About the Audio switch
PASS: It means HDMI in and HDMI out,no audio extractor. Supports all formats including more advanced Dolby Digital Plus, PCM5.1CH and beyond.
2CH Mode: It means HDMI in to HDMI out and 2RCA out. It can extract digital 2CH PCM stereo audio signals from the HDMI input. The RCA L/R output will not have sound if the incoming audio is multi-channel audio (>2CH). Set switch to 2CH for RCA L/T stereo application.
5.1CH: HDMI in to HDMI out and SPDIF out.The SPDIF optical audio output supports all audio formats upto 5.1CH Dolby Digital 5.1CH / AC3 & DTS 5.1CH audio. But not support Dolby Digital Plus and higher formats,such as HD audio (Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, PCM5.1 and beyond).
Note: For 5.1CH PCM or above, set audio EDID to pass, connect HDMI output to receiver directly.

- HDMI to HDMI+ Audio (SPDIF+R/L): Extracts digital HDMI audio signal from HDMI input and converts it to 2-channel analog stereo output or 5.1-channel audio output. ARC function is NOT supported (Note: The "HDMI IN" port of the Audio Extractor does not support direct connection to the HDMI port of the TV.)
