Product Information
- 1.AD831 is a low distortion, wide dynamic range, single-chip mixer suitable for RF-IF down-conversion in high frequency and very high frequency receivers, second mixer in digital mobile radio base stations, DC-baseband conversion, quadrature modulation and demodulation and Doppler shift detection in ultrasound imaging.
- 2.Meanwhile, AD831 provides +24 dBm third-order intermodulation interception point to achieve -10 dBm local oscillator power consumption, no high-power local oscillator, and there is no corresponding shielding and isolation problems, so it can be improved compared to passive mixers system performance, reduce system cost.
- 3.The mixer is designed to be powered by a single power supply. The RF, IF, and local oscillator ports have DC isolation capacitors for ease of use. The working frequency of RF and local oscillator input can be up to 500MHz. IF output is single-ended voltage output.
- 4.With 250 MHz output bandwidth, a single resistor connected between pins OUT and feedback is used to set the gain. This amplifier has low DC offset characteristics, so it can be used for DC coupling applications such as DC-baseband frequency conversion and quadrature amplitude demodulation.
- 5.When the mixer's output amplifier and good source impedance are present, the SSB noise figure of the mixer is 10.3 dB at 70 MHz. Unlike passive mixers, the AD831 has no insertion loss, no external duplexer, and no passive termination.
