- Easy to grow from seed and require minimal maintenance once established; beginner gardener-friendly
- Attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds; Drought-tolerant once established
- Long blooming period: Blooms from mid-summer to early fall
- You can start seeds in spring for blooms the following year or in early fall for blooms in coming spring
- For better germination stratify seeds: place in between moistened paper towel or sand, place in the zip-log bag and keep in the refrigirator for 2-4 weeks before planting or plant outdoors in the fall for natural stratification
