Product Description
- The Giant Sequoia is native to California and is the worlds largest tree by volume. It can live up to 3,000 years. The sequoia has a lush green color during the summer and does not lose its needles during the winter. Although, discoloration is common during the winter.
- All of our giant sequoia saplings are grown from seed at our nursery. The seeds are environmentally harvested and sourced in California. Saplings are grown in styrofoam blocks and will be shipped with roots exposed, ready for planting.
- Our saplings should be planted into a 1-3 gallon container. After tree has matured, it will be ready to be planted into its final location.
- Saplings may be dormant during time of purchase, November through March. After planting, keep pot in an unheated garage, barn, or shed until Spring. Keep pot moist during this time. Do NOT let the pot dry out.
- Saplings purchased with a tube are travel safe and plane friendly. Each tube is 12 inches tall and 2 inches in diameter.
