It is not possible to make the doors self-opening by adjusting the tension to a negative value. Such an adjustment would not only fail to achieve the desired functionality but could also potentially damage the door or the associated components. Regardless of whether the door is a right-hand or left-hand application, always rotate the tension adjustment rod or hex wrench to the left when making adjustments. Once the final adjustment has been completed, make sure to drive the pin until it is flush with the hinge barrel. This will ensure that the tension is properly set and the door operates smoothly and securely.
