- Simple To Use: Simply mix the wood dye powder into water, let it sit for a few minutes after mixing, then apply and let the wood stain penetrate for 3-5 min and wiping off excess dye stain- That's how it works. The mixing ratio of wood stain powder is: 2~5%. 4 oz pigment powder will coat about 50 feet of wood. It is generally safe to use about 0.5 oz of pigment powder stain per 1/8 gallon of water. Multiple layers will make the color darker.
