Replacement for Dometic refrigerator need to be replaced in following situation:
▲▲ for RV refrigerator does not work on 110v AC
▲▲ ice that has formed on the coils doesn’t melt as fast as usual
▲▲ Your fridge is getting warm
▲▲ Note: please shut off the power and water supply before installation
Testing the Heating Element Connectors:
▲▲ Confirm that the refrigerator is powered on
▲▲ Remove the shielded access wire.Test heating element with a multimeter. If there is voltage on one wire but no voltage on the second wire,it is likely that the component has been burned, causing the voltage to be interrupted
Removing the Heating Element from the Flue Stack:
▲▲ Disconnect the unit from all power sources (120 VAC and 12 VDC).Disconnect the heating element wiring from the lower control module
▲▲ Remove the defective heating element from the pocket within the flue stack
▲▲ Perform these steps in reverse with a new heating element to complete the replacement
