The Gurgler is a topwater fly usually used when Fly Fishing in saltwater but some use this pattern for freshwater as well. This fly uses a double color foam strip to dance across the surface and create a small wake like a fleeing bait fish or shrimp. Vary how you strip these flies to create larger wakes, darting patterns etc. This will get the attention of the fish you are looking for.
