Plating onto stainless choice is an excellent choice for various applications. Black zinc finish on stainless steel fastener, three prime choices. Black zinc, clear coat over black oxide or powder coat. Black zinc work on stainless and almost as good as powder coat perhaps. Black oxide would not be as hardy. Great for industrial applications and exterior household such as washers for bolts or washers for screws outside to increase the bearing capacity and protect the material under the washer.
