- EASY TO INSTALL: No special tools required to quickly connect gas log kits to a shut-off valve. Simply clean pipe threads, apply sealant, thread steel fittings to manual shut-off valve and turn on the valve. Use gas leak test solution to ensure that it is leak free. Do NOT apply thread sealant to flared ends
