From an early 2000s collection, the iconic Chanel Classic Double Flap new model shoulder bag is crafted in black diamond-quilted lambskin leather and accented with gold-tone 'CC' turnlock and chain hardware. About the Classic Flap: Few bags can claim that they have grown in popularity (and value) since 1955 -- and the Classic Flap is one of them. Originally launched as the "2.55", the bag featured a rectangular turn-lock closure and a long chain-strap, as Coco Chanel was tired of carrying her purse in her hands. Thanks to the creative genius of Karl Lagerfeld, the bag was updated to the Classic Flap we know, love, and recognize and featured the new logo 'CC' closure instead.
