Useful for shielding yourself from cold water when you first turn on your shower, for sudden temperature fluctuations such as when someone flushes toilet, when you need temporarily stop the spray during shaving, soaping, shampooing or conditioning, when setting water temperature for and helping kids or elderly in and out of shower, or other times when you want to temporarily block the spray without adjusting your perfect water temperature or flow settings.
