Product Description
Old Spice Sweet Pea (Lathyrus Odoratus Old Spice Mix) - This heirloom collection is a blend of heat resistant varieties with very fragrant flowers. Old Spice Mix is a climbing blend that should be trellised. It boasts colors in shades of white, cream, pink, rose, scarlet, and purple. The best sweet pea for warmer climates. Grow on a trellis for the best cut flowers, or let twine through bushes for an informal look. For best germination, Sweet Pea seeds need to be scarified before sowing. Nicking the seed with a nail clipper breaks the outer coat so they can absorb water immediately. By doing this a larger percentage of the seeds will germinate and they will sprout a few days earlier. After nicking the seed, soak the Sweet Peas seeds over night in tepid water. Do this the night before sowing the flower seeds directly outside.
