- This a USB-A male to female adaptor which has the D+, D- and 0V connected but the 5V disconnected, so power cannot pass through.
- Useful for specialist applications such as the Raspberry Pi where providing power results in undesirable effects
- The PCB is left exposed so it can be modified if necessary
- Super-compact design with the PCB forming the shape of the USB connector itself
- Note that data transfer will not be possible without the 5V in some cases, eg between a cell phone and a computer USB socket.
