- Samyang 2x Spicy Buldak is the ‘end plate king’ of spicy ramen. 2x Spicy Buldak has enhanced spiciness for consumers who want a stronger taste. There is a Scoville index that measures the degree of spiciness. The Scoville scale is a scale used to measure the spicy taste of capsicum plants and was created by Wilbur Scoville (1865~1942), an American pharmacist.
- For example, peperoncini verdi have a maximum of about 12,000 scovilles (usually 4,000 to 7,000 scovilles), which means that you need to dilute the oil of peperoncini verdi with 12,000 times the amount of sugar water so that you do not feel spicy.
- Samyang 2x Spicy Buldak is about 2.5 times spicy compared to the original buldak (4404) with a Scoville index of 10,000, and about 1.2 times spicier than the existing nuclear-buldak (8706). Among the ramen released in Korea, it currently has a spicy taste.
