Kenya has a reputation for excellence in the coffee industry, especially because it neighbors Ethiopia in Africa, where coffee beans first originated. Grown on volcanic soils and high altitudes, African coffee beans tend toward wine-like flavors with full, heavy bodies.
- CUPPING NOTES: Our Kenyan coffee has a full body and rich, strong flavor with pleasant acidity. Fragrant floral aroma with a winey finish and berry and citrus overtones. Ethiopian coffee in comparison is light-bodied and refined with surprising notes of blueberry.
- PROCESSING: Raw coffee beans are wet-processed (or washed), where the fruit covering the green coffee beans is removed before they are dried, to ensure a clean taste and bright acidity.
