An XLR to RCA cable converts a balanced audio signal into an unbalanced signal. This is good for sending audio signals from an XLR source to an RCA input, or vice versa. Regardless of direction, the result will be an unbalanced signal.
We have used PVC jacketing on this audio cord, which has a variety of benefits, including a high moisture resistance. Rather than a braided shield like many other common cables, this cable has a spiral shield which reduces the risk of cables kinking and damaging the conductors, therefore making the cable more flexible, physically protected, and difficult to terminate.
