- ORIGIN AND SOURCING - Aura Cacia Patchouli Essential Oil is sourced from Southeast Asia, typically Indonesia, where small farmers grow patchouli for a steady and reliable income. After harvesting, the leaves and stems are set out to dry. The essential oil is then obtained by steam distillation of the properly dried plants, giving us the strong, musky aroma we know patchouli to be.
