Sales by SKU is simply the number of sales per unique item. For example, the number of sales per ASIN, ISBN, etc.
There are a few reasons you might want to track this number in your Amazon seller report. Whether it’s to decide whether to drop a product, determining stock levels, etc… tracking your sales by SKU can be helpful.
The simplest way to do this, if you have a pro account, is to use Amazon’s sales reports and sort by SKU. To do this, Go to: Dashboard > Sales Summary Block > “View more of your statistics”. Open this report and sort by SKU.
Another way is to export your seller report to a spreadsheet - something like Microsoft Excel. This is a good option for determining sales by SKU, as you can set up automated reports and filters within a spreadsheet - with a little knowledge, of course.
The final option is using a third party app to extract this information from Amazon. The simplest route is using something purpose built (and a little pricey) like Manage By Stats. But another way is to have someone with knowledge on the subject write a small, simple program for you.
At any rate, if you need to sort and calculate sales by SKU, there are plenty of options to get going.
