A very valid question. You need to find the right words to target the right audience. And the right words to be picked up by the system and give your product the best possible chance to succeed.
To find the list of acceptable words for your category, simply download the category upload template, under “Inventory”; “add products via upload”.
Once you’ve got the list of accepted keywords here, there are some things to keep in mind.
Firstly, you’ll want to target those who buy what you’re selling - not those who use what you’re selling. For example, if you’re selling a children’s toy that makes a great gift, you’ll want to target parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents - etc.
It’s rather obvious when you think about it, but in the heat of uploading tens or hundreds of products, it’s easy to slip on something like this. So be mindful when selecting your target audience keywords.
