If this question, if it is worthwhile to sell on Amazon would be asked ten or even five years ago, the answer would be easy: a definite yes.
However, with Amazon marketplaces being saturated with sellers competing in virtually every conceivable category, you need to be very sure that a) you have what it takes to sell on Amazon, as far as time and patience and b) a niche product that has not yet been overrun by sellers.
Then, you need to decide on your shipping method: Amazon FBA or FBM. If you can handle all that, and you can make a sustainable profit from your products(s) then perhaps it is worthwhile to sell on Amazon.
