India is on the list of countries allowed to sell on Amazon – therefore, it is possible to sell from India to Amazon US – as an international seller, of course. To sell from India to Amazon US, you need to first register as a seller in a global seller account. You also need to provide Amazon with details such as tax information, international credit card, your phone number, and any other legal documents you may be required to register as a seller. You also need to be registered with an international only payment transfer service, as Amazon Payments does not handle payments for sellers from India. Once you’ve registered, provided all required documentation and signed up for a payment transfer service, you need to follow the procedure of creating a seller’s account and arranging your shipping methods: you can either use Amazon FBA or arrange the shipping yourself, which might save you money but, especially for beginners, can be complicated. Then, you will have to list your products according to their suitable category (clothes, gadgets, etc.) and begin selling on Amazon. Make sure you have enough products in supply, and that the products you sell match their description on their Amazon page (along with good, hi-res images).
