EDI Integration provides a seamless exchange of data between you and your trading partners. Specifically, EDI allows compiling accounting activities, order processing, and inventory systems into many popular eCommerce platforms.
Once you've decided that you want to implement EDI into your eBay business, there are a few general steps to follow for setting up the integration process:
- Purchase an appropriate EDI software for your eBay business. We recommend making sure it includes both document maps and a translator.
- Once the software is set up, eBay typically begins testing document exchanges.
- Conduct a further set of tests with your EDI software provider to verify that it operates correctly and that eBay and all your other trading partners receive the documents correctly.
