The European Article Number (EAN), consisting of 12 or 13 digits, is a unique identification number for a product, manufacturer and its attributes. The EAN code for a product can be obtained from the manufacturer.
On the other hand, Amazon established its own unique identification code for products that are sold on Amazon marketplaces, the ASIN, which stands for Amazon Standard Identification Number. The ASIN of an item is located in the product details section, on the product’s page at Amazon.com.
