- Multi-Purpose Sandblasting Glass Beads: Our #8 Spec (70-100 GRIT) glass bead is our best-selling blasting abrasive media. Used for cleaning, peening, deburring, descaling, finishing, and removing light rust, chipped paint, scale, oxidation and calcium deposits. Ideal for preparing metal surfaces for painting and powder coating. Works well on pistons, engine blocks, cast iron, aluminum, steel, tools, machinery, automotive and airline parts, pipes, dies, castings, cutting tools, etc.
