- CONVENIENT TO USE: These dried pepper flakes have a great, fresh taste and are much easier to use than whole red bell peppers. If a recipe calls for fresh bell peppers, just substitute dried pepper flakes for fresh peppers by using about 1 Tbs. of dried sweet pepper flakes for approximately 3 Tbs. of fresh, chopped bell peppers.
