- QuietJoint has a minimum STC value of 53 when installed on one side of a partition and a minimum STC value of 72 when installed on both sides. Sound attenuation has been independent laboratory tested to ASTM E90-09, "Standard Test Method for Laboratory Measurement of Airborne Sound Transmission Loss of Building Partitions and Elements".
- QuietJoint has an R-value of 2.85 per inch of depth. Insulation value has been independent laboratory tested to ASTM C518-04 "Standard Test Method for Steady-State Thermal Transmission Properties by Means of the Heat Flow Meter Apparatus".
Smoke and flame spread has been independent laboratory tested to ASTM E84-12: Class A, "Standard Method of Test for Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials". - Clean handling; UV stable; non-staining; low-temperature flexible; high-temperature stable. Non-invasive anchoring allows for rapid installation. Easy to install, thermally insulating, acoustic dampening, all in an economical package.
