- 4062 only has magnetic counterfeit detection, which detects the iron in the ink, and is easily defeated by counterfeiters. The 4068 would be the smarter solution and costs much less. The 4065 does have advanced counterfeit but used units are not recommended, they run hot, which wears out the rubber parts fast, and they are known for read errors.
- The 4068 does not have counterfeit detection and is what most major grocery chains and retailers use for their end of day deposits/settlements.
