CMS (Content Management System)

A CMS, or content management system, is a software application or set of related programs which are used to edit, create and manage digital content. Content management systems features can vary drastically, but most include Web-based publishing, history editing, search, format management, and other features. This is done by adding, deleting, or editing content to be later published on the website. The primary function of a CMS is to support the distinction between preparation and design for presentation.

Speed: Using a CMS speeds up your site updates which assist in keeping your site moving fast.

Organization: Allows for posts to be scheduled, organized, and easier to edit. This helps to stay on top and ahead of schedule.

Most are Free: Most CMSs are free!
